An Evening with "The King" Wayne Carey
Dual Premiership Captain at North Melbourne, four time North Melbourne Best and Fairest and seven time All Australian, Carey, nicknamed "The King" or "Duck" is considered to be one of the greatest players to have ever played Australian Football. Hailing from Wagga Wagga Carey's career controversially stalled prior to the start of the 2002 season but the following year he went on to play two seasons for Adelaide Crows. Late in the 2004 season he was forced to retire with a disc-related neck injury, marking the end of a career that spanned 16 seasons, 272 games and 727 goals.
Now a popular media figure and public speaker he is joining "Sam Newman" aka Andrew Startin, comedian and impersonator (AFL Footy Show fame) at the Pigeon Clubrooms on Saturday 9 August from 7.30pm. After the audience hears from Carey he will head up a panel including Kayne "Petts" Pettifer and Brendan "Fev" Fevola to entertain the crowd even more.
It's going to be a great night, Carey is sure to captivate the audience and with Startin, Petts and Fev provide a very entertaining night.
Tickets are limited and at only $45 per person are sure to sell out fast.

Yarrawonga Pigeons take on Myrtleford Alpine Saints this Saturday Round 13
There will be plenty on offer at the game this Saturday when we play Myrtleford Alpine Saints.
The canteen will be open for their usual snacks but there will be delicious Egg and Bacon rolls available at the Netball Courts from 9.30am for only $5. Perfect if you are heading up early and don't have time for breakfast before you leave.
Maybe a sausage sizzle is more your thing. There will be a couple of options, basic sausage sizzle for $2.00 each or for something a little more fancy you can have a continental sausage (plain or garlic) supplied by Steve Dale Butchers in a roll with relish or chutney for $4.00. Could be just the thing before that long drive home.
Rug up as it is expected to be cold, if you haven't already call our office for your Pigeon beanie and scarf. The perfect accessory for the Myrtleford game.
See you on Saturday.
