Junior Football Training Dates
Yarrawonga Junior Football, junior football development unit of Yarrawonga Football Netball Club, invites all previous and any new players to train for the 2015 Season. Junior Football is looking forward to a great 2015 season after a successful 2014, with two of the three sides in finals and the U16 winning a very worthy premiership. Coalches are now in place and everyone is enthusiastic to start training. All training sessions will be held at the JC Lowe Oval.
Coach Dave Woodburn. First training session is Tuesday 10 February from 4.30pm. Dave did a great job last year coaching a inaugural U12 side in the AWJFL and this reappointment should see his side featuring in finals football.
Coach Rod Willett. First training session is Monday 2 February from 4.15pm. Rod having played many games with the Yarrawonga Pigeons brings his football knowledge, talent and experience to a side we hope to see contesting in the finals.
Coach Ross Mulquiney. First training session Thursday 29 January from 4.45pm. Ross having been reappointed after the 2014 premiership win is looking forward to another great year with a team having great respect for Ross not only as their coach but as a quality senior player for the Pigeons.
Yarrawonga Junior Football strongly promotes development of our young and keen players. The Albury Wodonga Junior Football League is the key competition within the region for recruitment into the Murray Bushrangers (TAC Cup) side which allows players the best pathway for AFL recruitment.
Simply turn up for training or call Chris Pritchard on 0438 441 930 for further enquiries.

Junior Football (AWJFL) AGM
Yarrawonga Junior Football Club is looking forward to fronting up to the 2015 season after a successful 2014. Last season saw the Under 16 side win the Grand Final and the Under 14’s eliminated in the first week of finals. 2014 saw Yarrawonga enter a side in the U12 division for the first time and after a slow start showed that they were competitive against most sides in the competition and finished just outside the top four. It was the development of players in all age groups that was the most pleasing for us.
On Wednesday the 26th November we will be conducting our AGM at 7.00PM in the clubrooms . We are looking for parents to nominate as committee members at this meeting. Several of this year’s committee members are stepping down now that their boys have moved on to U18 football so we need to replace them. For our continued success in the premier junior competition in this region we need you as parents to assist us in the running of our teams and future development of our young players.
Interested parents can contact Chris Pritchard on 0438441930 or simply front up to the meeting. Look forward to seeing you there.
2015 Season Fixture
Looking forward the next season. Anzac Day falls on a Saturday this year in line with Round 4 and there will be commemorative events including our players wearing heritage jumpers when we take on Corowa-Rutherglen at home.
